A warming bitter aromatic for the respiratory system, elecampane has traditionally been used as an expectorant to clear congestion. The root of this plant contains inulin which has been studied for its ability to support the immune system and function as a prebiotic for digestive health.
Take 1 tablespoon in hot water as a tea or in sparkling water to make an herbal soda.
Ingredients: Local raw honey, white grape vinegar, Elecampane root (Inula helenium), Eastern White Pine needles (Pinus strobus)
